hello sailors!
i emailed adam to ask him about what kind of furniture + dimensions needed for the prototype, design + computer simulation. i imaged a woodshop for prototyping, 'pilot' like simulation areas + computer lab. here is what he responded:
No worries at all. Your intuition about the boat shop and simulation area are right on point, however the boatshop comes attached to a fairly large assembly area(big enough for a boat) where large molds are put together. The other fairly interesting thing is that work areas and assembly areas have to be kept separate as the assembly area is essentially a clean room(any air born particulates will ruin carbon fiber laminations in progress). As for the freezer units, we have two 40' containers which is ample even for very large lamination projects. In side the freezers are number of rolling racks which each hold five rolls of single warp pre-inpregnated carbon fiber. Each roll is about 18" in diameter and anywhere from a foot to 3' wide.
Good luck. I hope this was helpful.
